Situated within the borders of Alanya, 3km away from the city centre and 15m high above the coast, DAMLATAS CAVE measures 30m in length, covering as many as 200m. Apart from the incredible visual effects created by the numerous stalactites and stalagmites assumed to have formed some 20,000 years ago, the cave seems to have extremely positive therapeutical effects, especially for asthmatic patients who benefit from the combination of carbon dioxide gases, low temperatures, high humidity and radioactive atmosphere.
